Just wanted to make a quick post to show you my #GliddenGallons paint shop the other day. I went to Walmart and found the Walmart Paint section where they had the Glidden Walmart paint and found my colors. If Texas won't bring me fall colors, I'll bring fall colors to Texas!!

My computer us all better!

I am so happy to say that my computer is all better now, thanks to my wonderful daughter. The power supply died last week and she swore she would be able to put the new one in if I bought it. It came in today and she lived up to her word. My computer now lives!

#GliddenGallons helping me makeover my porch

As you read in an earlier post, thanks to Glidden, I get to makeover my back porch. It's going to be a chore but I'm going to get it done this weekend, or at least make a good dent in it this weekend. This is the color scheme I chose. What do you think? It will certainly brighten it up, that's for sure.

Hubby went to Walmart and ended up getting frazzled because there were so many colors to chose from, that he didn't end up buying the paint yet so I'm going to have to go get it myself.
Just to refresh your memory, here are a couple of before pictures to refresh your memory.

So, I'm going to go to Walmart this weekend and buy my Pineapple Upsidedown Cake and Tangerine colors myself. If you want something
done right........

But, here is what he saw on his shop and what caught his eye. Take a look....

Glidden, make over my kids bathroom, please #gliddengallons

Ok, so Glidden is my favorite product lately. It has already helped me give my dining room a makeover. It is on the verge of giving my back porch new life. I'm really hoping it can help me with my kids bathroom too.
This post is an entry to a contest to win a $250 Walmart gift card for a makeover project in my home. My kids bathroom is in such rough shape, I would love to be able to gut it and start from scratch, but I can't afford that. What I can afford, if I win this gift card, is some paint, a new mirror, a new towel rack, a new shower curtain, a new toilet, a new sink, new taps, new tiling on the floor, maybe even a new bathtub. Ok, I might not be able to do EVERYTHING with a $250 gift card, but I can sure make a very good start.
My parents are coming for a visit from Canada in two months and it would be great for them to be comfortable in the bathroom for a change.
Here are a few pictures of the bathroom I need done......

This is all the shelving I have in the whole bathroom. That's why everything ends up on the floor on the vanity, in a big mess. The mirror was glued to the wall and now the glue lines seep through. The towel rack is broken. The curtain in the window is actually a pillowcase (sigh).

Do not adjust your eyes, the toilet is crooked. Every time I sit on it I feel like I'm going to fall off. It's been like that since we moved in here. Not to mention the toilet lid was broken and somehow glued back together. Again, it's been like this since we moved in.

As I said, everything ends up on the floor because there's no shelving anywhere. Also, when the tub cracked (which is why I need a new tub or at least a new liner since it's been fixed) the floor took a hit so we had to temporarily put this piece of wood down until we can get the whole floor fixed.

Here is my video entry. It's a bit long at just over 4 minutes but.....

So, I'm entering this contest......how about you?
There are 5 fellow bloggers having giveaways on their blogs for a chance to win a $250 Walmart gift card! If you think you could rock a #gliddengallons challenge you should go enter! Here are the links to all 5 giveaways:

Porch redo thanks to Glidden Paint #gliddengallons Step 1

Thanks to Collective Bias and Walmart Paint and Glidden Walmart, I get to do a makeover on my back porch. We have lived in this house for 5 years now and have never done anything with our back porch. It has been a 'just put it in the porch' place when we don't have room for something or we don't know where to put it. It has become our junk place. Now, I get to change that.
We're going to finish the unfinished walls, paint the walls, put down a floating floor where there is an old hot tub, that has never worked, so we can use it for storage. It's going to be great. I can't wait to get to Walmart and check out the Glidden paint to pick out the perfect colors.
I think I will go to Glidden.com first to check out colors. Stay tuned.......

Here are the before pictures:

Double your fun with Doublemint Gum and #MurphyUSA

I had such a great time this weekend. I went on a little time travel. Ok, let me explain. Do you remember, when you were a kid and when you went to your Grandparent's house your Grandmother always had something for you? For me it was Wrigley's Doublemint gum. Every single time.
I had no idea, when I was asked to do this shop for #MurphyUSA and Collective Bias, that it would take me down a path to memory lane.
I went to #MurhpyUSA and bought 2 packs of Doublemint gum. The packs were different. The price was different, but the smell and the taste were the same. It made me smile. Not a grown up, reserved smile that we learn to do as we older, but that little kid smile like I used to get was I was so excited about something. Funny isn't it? How one simple little piece of gum can bring back so many wonderful fuzzy feelings.
Thanks #MurphyUSA and Doublemint gum. You brought my grandmother back for a visit today, and it was a great one.

On a different, not so sentimental note....
My boys had a great time goofing around today making a video/commercial for me. As you can see below, I have the final video embedded into this post. They were goofy, funny and I almost cried from laughing so hard. The only thing I asked for them to say was the punchline, which was 'double your fun with Doublemint gum'. Easy right? One would think. If you want to see the flubs you check them out here, but the one where they got the line right is below. Look at one, or all of them. I had a ball!

Now take a look at my shopping day, running errands and going to #MurphyUSA, below.

Shop for free at CVS thanks to ExpoTV

On my trip to CVS yesterday, I used a stack of $5 CVS gift cards to pay for my merchandise. The cashier (a new cashier...the only reason she was surprised to see me with the gift cards) asked me where I got all them all. So I explained to her that I belonged to a site called ExpoTV.com where I made video reviews of every day things, mostly beauty items, and earned points. These points accumulate quite quickly and when I get enough points I redeem my rewards for CVS gift cards. There are a lot of other options (like Amazon.com) but I love the CVS option.
Then I realized it had been a very long since blogging about this great site so I thought it was time. Time for you to be able to cash in on this too. ExpoTV is likely one of my favorite sites out there for earning rewards that you can actually use.

At a crossroads and I need your help

I have been blogging for 5 years now about different things. I started off having a blog to just 'shoot the breeze' and that one turned into a crocheting blog, which I loved. Like a lot crafters do, I got into a crocheting slump and left it alone for a while.
A few years ago, when I discovered how much money I could save for my family by using coupons, I started this blog. Mainly it was for me to keep things in one spot so I wouldn't forget about them. Like where to find the good deals and the good coupons. I started posting and posting things but it felt like I was just regurgitating what everyone else was saying.
I love blogging. It gives me a sense of accomplishment in a weird way, but I'm at the point where I don't know what to blog about. Do I keep it 100% businesslike? Do I let personal stuff slip in? Do I keep up the deal finding/coupon sharing or go in another direction?

I would love to hear from you and how you decided what to blog about. Do you ever get tired of it?

Thanks a bunch.

#DigestiveHealth Members Mark 4X Probiotic, did it work?

mark 4x probiotic

In a word...YES!! As you may have read about a week and a half ago, I was given the opportunity to try Members Mark 4X Probiotic. Like clockwork I took this capsule in the morning and in only a couple of days it was working on regulating my system. I have never been a 'going every day' kind of person and I've had problems with it, but also just learned to live with it. Very quickly this probiotic started doing its job and I was not having any problems all of a sudden. No more cramping. No more bloating. No more prune juice (gag me!!) to get 'things going'. It is awesome.

I've also been hearing from people who have a problem going too much and it's leveled them out too. How this can tell the difference and do what it needs to do for different people is a mystery to me. The only thing I know is that it works, and that's all I need to go I guess.

As silly as it sounds, one my favorite things is the days of the week written on the package. You never forget what day you need to take or even if you've taken it. One day I forgot I had taken it and when I went to take it I saw the capsule was gone and then I remembered taking it. Awesome.

This sells at Sam's Club for about $28.00 for a 3 month supply which is pretty good if you ask me. Less than $10 a month for feeling normal and healthy for the first time in....well, let's just say a long time is worth it to me so I will continue to use it when what I have it gone. This was the thing I've been looking for, that I didn't even know I was looking for!! Take that prune juice!!

Using MurPay for the first time at #MurphyUSA

IMG_0821

Yesterday was one of those days that two days to live through, at least it felt that way. I had a bunch of running around to do and just as we were getting to leave hubby discovered that our hot water heater died. I panicked a bit, then looked at the Home Depot website to get prices. So everything we had planned for the day had to wait for about 6 hours while that was taken care of.
Along the way, to get the hot water heater and then to do my shopping afterwards, I was taking notice of gas prices. I know, I know. We all take notice of gas prices, don't we? Well, one thing I did notice was that within 15 miles of where I live, East and West, gas prices are pretty much the same. Boring, yes. However....
I discovered something today too. It's called MurPay. Here's how it works.
You go to the website MurPay and register, which is free. You will have to enter banking information, which is where the money will come out of when you use this service. What I like about this is that you can also use it to but things at the #MurphyUSA store but you can also limit what is bought with it as well. For instance, if you give the code (you need this when using MurPay) to your teenage child who is driving and allow to get gas with it, there are things you can make sure they don't buy. You can, right on the website, check off things like liquor, tobacco, lotto tickets, etc and they won't be able to buy them with the code. I think that is genius!!
How it works is you register. You will be given their text number. When you go to Murphy USA you text that number with MurPay and the amount of gas/product you want. You are then very quickly sent a reply text along with a code that you use, similar to using a code for your credit/debit card. You enter the code and then your PIN that you set when you registered and it's paid. Easy.
The thing I like the most is the thought of giving the text number and PIN to my driving child and they can go get gas, without me having to give them my debit card, so they can't lose it. Genius!! I know I already said that, but it is truly genius!! This is truly one of my new favorite things. I even made hubby an account for his phone.
If you would like to check out my loooong day, take a look at my ThisMoment at the bottom of this post. It sure was a long day.
