Great weekend shopping savings

This weekend Target was THE place to be for me. Now, usually I don't take my kids with me but they (2 of them) wanted to come so I gave in (my daughter is 19 and youngest son 10). I only spent an extra $12 because of their 'needs' but I was still pretty happy.

We ending up getting free dog food, free cat food, nearly free cereal....ahhh, it was lovely.

The totals? $416.31 before coupons and savings. Out of pocket? $30.98, for a savings of $384.99 or 92%.

Then it was off to Kroger. We went there after Target so hubby always sees it as a bit of a let down because he thinks we should be able to save 90% everywhere we go.....I wish!

I now have a freezer full of Hot Pockets, Healthy Choice meals and such, thanks to the Mega Savings event going on at Kroger right now. Starting price was $169.44. Out of pocket was $76.84 for a savings of $92.60 or 55%.

Sunday was Walmart/CVS day and I restored hubby's faith in me (lol). At Wal-Mart I got a bunch of stuff (yes, I promise I will try to remember to take pictures before I put things away next time) including Air Wick air fresheners that were on sale for $5 (which works very well with $4 coupons thankyouverymuch), Healthy Choice Mixers, Glade candles (free coupons) and more.

Starting price was $97.33 before sales and coupons. Out of pocket was $35.84 for a savings of $57.49 or 59%.

So, my weekend total was:
Amount of product purchased: $810.82
Amount out of pocket: $143.66
Amount saved: $663.22 or 82%
= Not too shabby!

CVS Savings on Sunday 9/20

Ok, I admit it, when you look at this photo it doesn't look like it should add up to $127.74 before sales and coupons, but it does.
I found the Hefty bags on sale for $1 each and I bought 10
3 boxes of Kleenex, 4 Dry Idea, 2 Right Guard, 1 Crest Pro Health, 1 Sensodyne, 1AquaFresh ISO, 1 Crest Rinse, 4 trial size Aquafresh, 2 trial size Clean n Clear, 2 Edge Fusion shave gel, 1 Perfect 10 hair color, 2 pkgs 8 roll CVS brand paper towels.

Total before coupons was $127.74, total after coupons was $0.00!

Ok, I did 'cheat' a little bit because I was due a refund of $8.99 because the last time I went to CVS and they had the Neutrogena make-up on sale for bogo I was charged for 2 so I was due a refund. The total of the bill came to less than the refund given back to me, so I was very happy.

I also had 2 $5/25 CVS q's and a $3/15 CVS q and some ECB's from the last time I went. The cso printed out $1.50 q for the Aquafresh so I was able to stack that too. I ended up with $19 in ECB's for my next trip too.

By the way, I have a CVS card, as does my hubby so we did two transactions.

I got my Cesar Bistro today, did you?

I went over to Cesar Bistro this morning and got my free serving of this new dog food, did you?

I got some at Target a couple of weeks ago and my dogs loved it.

There's only one thing better than a new dog food that your dogs will love, and that's FREE dog food that your dogs will love. Go ahead, check it out, your doggies will thank you.

By the way, my cats even love this stuff. One of them found a pack of it on the counter and bit it open and ate half of it when I was out. Silly cat!

Tide Stain Release...hubbys new favorite thing

Now I have to say that I was skeptical about this new Tide product but I had Target and manufacturere coupons for it which made it less than a dollar so I thought I'd try it. Let's just say that this product is my husband's new favorite thing. He's a messy eater, let's just get that out of the way. Almost all of his shirts have stains on the front of them.
When I brought this home he asked what it was. I told him it was a new product that I thought I'd try. He asked if it worked. I told him 'go for it'. So he did. He went and got a bunch of his shirts that had food stains on them, keeping mind that these had all been washed and dried and put away. We were both amazed. 90 % of the shirts came out totally stain free and the other two were done again and then they too came out totally stain free.
Needless to say, from now on, when there's a sale I'll be stocking up. Going on a Target run today so it should be good for that.
I don't often get excited by anything having to do with laundry, and my husband certainly does not, but this is a great new product! We love it.

p.s. I was not contacted by Tide or any other company to talk about the product. This was totally my opinion.

Every week I get 3 or 4 newspapers for the coupons. Now, there are times when that just won't do and I go looking for a place I can get some extras. Or there's a really good CVS sale and I don't have enough coupons left. That's when I found Coupons and Things by Dede.

I order on Monday, it gets here a day or two later and I can be on my way to the sale I'm going to 'rule'!
There's a search bar so you can find all the coupons you want easily. They also sell whole inserts if you don't get certain ones where you live.

Coupon Chief - A new online coupon website

I found a great new website on the weekend that I think will come in so handy this holiday season. It's called Coupon Chief and it helps you find coupons for online purchases of your favorite stores from Best Buy to Target to Amazon (my personal favorite) and so much more. You name it, you can likely find a coupon code for the website you're looking for.

There is a section called 'Pay to Share' that you can share coupons you find and if someone else uses it you will get paid 2% of the sales that the coupon was used for.

One of the features that I really think is awesome is the fact that you can add your own coupon if you have a retail website, in what is called 'The Merchant Portal'. I have sold crocheted items on Etsy.com in the past and to be able to add a coupon to this site for 'x%' or '$xx' would be great! It can give you traffic as well as some extra advertising.

So take a second and check it out. I really think you'll like it as much as I do.
